The Blue Hut

Just three minutes away from the monastery, you will find a blue hut situated under a massive stone block, with an age of over 150 years, making it one of the oldest houses in Corbi. The Blue Hut is beautifully decorated and can be visited for free, with the kind permission of the owner, Mrs. Mihaela, daughter of Mother Uta, who passionately takes care of this house and serves as an extraordinary guide for visitors.

A visit to the Blue Hut can help anyone understand how Romanian peasants lived hundreds of years ago and the objects they used in their daily lives.

The courtyard of the Blue Hut is equally fascinating, with the same rock continuing in the courtyard where the Corbii de Piatră Monastery was carved. With a little attention and luck, you might find giant shapes carved into the rock, magical boulders, and, if there is water, a waterfall that transforms everything into a mystical place.

Although these formations have emerged as a result of natural phenomena such as rock detachment and erosion, we invite you to unleash your imagination in this magical place.

There is no specific visiting schedule for the Blue Hut, and no entrance fee is required. However, to maintain this wonderful place and if you find it deserving, any donation is welcomed.
