BRĂDET village – Arges

VIA VALAHIA

BRĂDET village – Argeș County

Descending through the Fern Forest, Via Valahia reaches the Valsanului Valley in the village of Bradet, part of the Bradulet commune.

The Valsanului Valley, as picturesque as the valleys of Doamnei, Arges, or Topolog, is unique due to its mineral waters and the presence of the rarest fish in Europe – the Aspretele. The Valsanului Valley is the only place on Earth where this fish still lives, and it is estimated to be over 65 million years old. In Latin, the scientific name of the Aspretele is Romanichthys valsanicola.
